Beard: what to do between visits
Minimum, not maximum
The most common mistake is not too little care — it's too much. Five products in the morning, an elaborate ritual. Not necessary. Three minutes a day is enough.
Two products
Beard oil. 3–5 drops every morning on a damp beard after the shower. Work it evenly with your fingers, from the roots. Jojoba, argan, or grapeseed — all work. The only wrong choice is a thick oil before bed.
Balm. Evenings or when the air is dry. A pea-sized piece on warm palms, rub, apply. Doesn't hold shape — holds moisture.
Washing
Beard-specific shampoo twice a week. Regular hair shampoo dries the skin underneath. Between washes, plain water in the shower is fine.
Combing
Short metal comb or a natural-bristle brush. Comb downward and slightly outward in the morning — it straightens the hair and distributes oil. Five strokes, done.
Trimming at home
No. Scissors yes — a quick snip of the strays on the neck and lips. Trimmer for shape — leave that to us. The shape we build once is easily lost in 30 seconds.
When it grows unevenly
Most beards grow at different rates on each side. A two-week gap between the left and right half is normal. Give it at least 4 weeks before drawing conclusions.
Skin underneath
If it itches — dry skin, not the beard. Add one more drop of oil. If there are flaky patches — mild anti-dandruff shampoo once a week.
Tune-up with us
Once every 3–4 weeks. Trimmer sets the shape, scissors clean up irregularities, hot towel relaxes the skin, oil at the end. 20 minutes.
What Google gets wrong
"Minoxidil for beard growth," "onion oil," "cutting by the lunar cycle." Skip. Genetics set density, age sets the ceiling. The rest is myth.
