Sworn interpreting: when the law requires it
You need a sworn interpreter whenever an official act runs in a language one party does not understand. In practice this is most often a foreign-police interview, a registry-office wedding, drawing up a notarial deed (buying property, a power of attorney, forming an s. r. o.) and a court hearing.
The interpreter must be entered in the Slovak Ministry of Justice register under Act No. 382/2004 Coll. – a "bilingual acquaintance" is not enough. That is exactly what we provide: a stamped interpreter the authority or notary will accept.
Conference and business interpreting
For companies we interpret negotiations, audits, training, business meetings and conferences. Depending on the setting we provide consecutive interpreting (speaker and interpreter alternate) or simultaneous (in parallel, with equipment for larger events). For liaison interpreting we accompany the delegation throughout the visit.
On repeat assignments the interpreter studies the client’s terminology and materials in advance, so the meeting runs smoothly; confidential materials are handled under an NDA.
Remote interpreting: by phone and online
Not every act requires physical presence. Phone and online interpreting suits shorter interviews, consultations with a foreign partner, or when an interpreter is needed at short notice. We join by phone or video call and interpret in real time.
Whether remote interpreting is admissible for your particular act (for example at the foreign police or a notary) we confirm in advance – the rules vary by authority.
Ukrainian and other languages
Ukrainian is the most requested – foreign-police interviews, weddings, notarial acts and court hearings. But we also interpret in English, German, Russian and other languages on request.
The single-provider advantage: if the act also needs a sworn translation of documents, we prepare it together with the interpreting and align the name spelling so everything matches the first time.

FAQ
Do I need a sworn interpreter for the foreign police?
Yes. If you do not sufficiently understand the interview in Slovak, the foreign police requires an interpreter entered in the Ministry of Justice register. We provide one for the exact time of your interview.
Do you interpret at a wedding when one partner does not speak Slovak?
Yes – the registry office requires a sworn interpreter for such a wedding. We reserve one for the ceremony date; tell us the registry office and the language.
Do I need an interpreter at the notary?
If a notarial deed (buying property, a power of attorney, forming a company) is signed by someone who does not understand Slovak, the notary usually requires a sworn interpreter. We provide one for the notary appointment.
Can interpreting be done online or by phone?
For many acts, yes – shorter interviews and consultations we interpret by phone or video call. Whether it is admissible at your authority we check in advance.
How far in advance should I book an interpreter?
The sooner the better – popular dates (weddings, hearings) fill up. Write to us as soon as you know the date; for urgent slots we try to accommodate subject to availability.
Do you also provide the sworn translation of documents for the act?
Yes – translation and interpreting from one provider. We align name spelling and terminology so the documents and the interpreted act fit together.
